Add extra marking lines: using same
thread as original marking. Add 5 lines both north and south of
equator, at 1 cm intervals, shown in red on diagram. |
Place marking pins on every other line of S10 marking, 1/2 way between last support line and N & S Poles (black dots on diagram). Follow stitching path shown in green: Start at pt 1 with black, using uwagake chidori kagari. Even-numbered stitches (excluding numbers 1 & 13) are lower points of chidori zig-zag; Points 1 and 13 are start and end. Repeat one row on each set of marking lines, kousa style, with 1 more row of black, 2 rows of each shade of gray (dark to light) and finally white. |
