	Materials: 23 cm circum mari, wrapped in ecru Pearl Cotton #5 in light and dark blue Marking thread in metallic gold Prepare an 8-Combination Division

Design is worked in kousa style. Locate the 6 8-point square centers on the mari. With dark blue stitch one round in each. Corners of squares are located 1/2 of distance from center to marking line corner. Locate the 8 6-point centers. With dark blue stitch 1 round of a hexagon Repeat these 2 rows, alternating dark and light blues, in Kousa style, for 9 rows ending with darker blue. Finish with long stitches across hexagon corners 2, 4, and 6 Embellish centers with gold straight stitches as shown in photo.
