turquoise and stitch three rounds as a center. Then two rounds
in the same color A-B-C-D-E-F-A. Stretch the points (B, D, F) to
the other side of the marking thread. Change color to pink and
stitch two rounds and then two more rounds of turquoise. Stitch
the rest of the tri-wings and interlock the points of adjacent
wings nejiri style. Let the thread go over the other tri-wing,
stitch round the marking thread, and then under the other

Choose six colors for the spirals
(three color-pair): Dark green/Light pink; Burgundy/Light green;
Green/Blue. You will use two threads of one color and one thread
of the other. 1 and 3 are the same color in the diagram. Begin
with thread 1 and stitch three rounds. Insert thread 2 and
stitch one round, with thread 1 following. Then insert thread 3.
Stitch until the area is almost filled, then finish thread 2.
End the spiral with three rounds of the color used for 1 and 3. Add two rounds of silver metallic. Stitch the opposite center in the same way but change the colors so that the color used for thread 1 and 3 will be used as thread 2 instead. Stitch the other center pairs in the same way. |
