6 Mentai: Increasing the 8-point centers to 16 points (C8)
This marking maintains the 6 centers of an 8-Combination division, but increases the centers to 16 points from 8. The 12 diamonds from the 8-Combination will be sub-marked into narrower faces.
Begin by marking an 8 Combination Division using regular marking thread.

After completing the 8 Combination division, locate the 4
point centers in the middle of the diamonds. Stitch a line
around the mari as shown in photo to the left, where A-X = X-B
(1/2 of the short leg of the diamond). Repeat on opposite side
of the diamond. |

Continue to work in all diamonds of the C8 Division. Tack intersections to maintain accuracy. |
