This marking creates 14
faces in resulting in 6 squares with 8 point centers, and 8 triangles as
six point centers.
This
marking has in the past been termed "double C8", in as much as the extra
lines are laid in the manner of the 8 Combination, but it is not a
division.
Begin by marking an
8
Combination Division using regular marking thread.

After completing the 8 Combination division, locate the 4
point center along the equator that lays between 2 8-point
centers. Lay down 2 more marking threads as shown in photo to
left.

Rotate the ball 90 degrees to the remaining open 4 point
intersection on the equator, and repeat with 2 more threads in
the same manner.
