Materials: 25 cm circum mari, wrapped in white Pearl Cotton #5 in white, red, yellow, blue Marking thread in silver metallic Prepare a 10-Combination Division |
Locate the 6-pt triangles outlined in dotted green line on
diagram to the left. Stitch one row of off set triangle as show
in yellow, carrying point stitches just over the marking line
into adjacent triangles. Work on each triangle, always in same
order for kousa
style, for a total of 2 rows yellow, 1 row white, 2 rows
yellow. When complete, outline the kousa diamond formed where
the diamond points interweave with 1 row of white and 2 rows of
red. With blue, work a 5 point uwagake chidori kagari star in each pentagon center. Inner points of uwagake are close to center point. Starting position for bottom points is just inside the yellow thread of the triangles, as shown in the diagram. |
