Materials: 25cm circum mari, wrapped in blue Pearl Cotton #5 in burgundy, ecru and taupe Metallic thread in silver Prepare a 10-Combination Division |
Using the burgundy thread, work a triangle in each of the
triangle shapes as shown in red on the diagram. The points
should extend to halfway along the marker thread towards each
pole. Next, stitch one round in ecru around each triangle. Using ecru thread and following the blue line, stitch all the way around the ball – this will take you past 20 points of the triangles, arriving back at the point where you started. (Note, you will stitch parallel with one side of a triangle, then go diagonally across to the point of the adjacent triangle, parallel with the side of this second triangle, then diagonally across to the point of the next triangle and so on around the ball.) Repeat this path with purple thread. |
