Materials: 24 cm circum mari, wrapped in whiter, Pearl Cotton #5 in colors of your choice Marking thread in metallic gold Prepare a 10-Combination Division |
Locate Points B through F. They should be about one quarter
the length of a side of a pentagon that you have marked. (i.e.,
the distance of segment A2 should equal the distance of A3).
Stitch one round in each pentagon. Locate points 1 through 6.
They should fall at 1/4 marks on the side of the pentagon. The
distance of segment 1-2 should equal that of A-B. Stitch one
round, working over the line of points B through F going in
towards the center of the pentagon (the two resulting stitching
lines will have overlapped). Work this round on each 3 corner
point where the pentagons touch. This completes one cycle. Repeat the cycles until the resulting diamond motifs begin to abut each other.... fill in open spaces as needed between the pentagons, but this need should be minimal. |
